Planning a trip to Germany

Last week my Aunt approched the family with a wonderful idea.  She had heard about the 2010 Passion Play that they hold in Oberammergau Germany and wanted to plan a family trip to see the play.

Our ancesters are from Widdern Germany and we would also like to tour the city our family came from as well as visit Heidelberg.  We are so excited!  So far about 12 family members are going to go. 

Right now we are looking for a tour group that will take us to these locations.  We don't have any problem with two of the locations but apparently Widdern isn't a very popular location so we may not be able to do a tour group.  For us it's a must see area. 

I am a travel agent with Traverus Travel but I specialize in cruises so I'm having a hard time finding all the info I need for a Germany trip.  One problem I'm having is the language barrier.  Most sites I go to for information on certain locations aren't in English. 

Has anyone traveled to Germany?  Do you have any advise for me to help us plan this trip?  Any help you can give would be appreciated.

Well seeing how Im going with you I cant offer any help, but Im glad to see what you are doing to get everything ready for it!! I hope more people look at this and gives some advice.
