My daughter is 2 yrs old and has not eaten solid food in 14 months. She was fine up until a yr of age, she got her shots and all her development stopped. She doesnt talk, point, eat, drink out of anything but one bottle, well the one nipple . Last time her nipple broke she went 3 days w/out food or water, her lips bled and she didnt urinate for 16 hrs. I know she has become autistic, my beautiful baby girl, my heart is breaking. She goes to childrens hospital Eating and Dysphagia clinic , just had her tonsils and adnoids removed, they were enlarged and they thought maybe that was a posibility that was why she will not take food, she gags at the site of food, she wont let anyone touch her, bigtime sensory issues, no eye contact, sits and watches anything that spins, and will only touch things that are the color red. She is a big girl thank god , for not eating for 14 months now she weighs 30lbs and is a toddler size 3. She just fell asleep so my anxietys are starting to calm down.........what a night.......plz respond, I just need to keep my mind occupied and you can never learn too much. I research autism and everything related from the time i wake up till i go to bed and my day is therapy for her, 5 therapists come to my home from childlink aka early intervention. She is autistic it just has not been formally diagnosed. Ive had her evaluated at the center for autism and they want to wait another 6 months to make the formal diagnosis, and im waiting on her appointment w/ the developmental pediatrician. Not to mention my son just turned 5 and is high functioning autism. He is doing awesome, you cant tell he is autistic but has been diagnosed. He doesn't have the same characteristics of autism that I see in my daughter. He is fine but has some autistic little quirks........lines things up, likes things in order and his cars and trains have to be lined up and he likes routine. Ok now im exhausted, you know my life story of the last 2 yrs w/ my kids but plz leave me posts. I like to hear from others and am interested in what you have to say :)group hug

My hearts go out to you.. I am sorry about your daughter..But you are a great mom and you can tell that you are doing the most for your kids.. My son is also autistic but you cant tell he is 11. There are all kinds of autism his is PDD Pervasive Developmental Disorder.. I saw that he was slow in things and that he wouldn't understand sometimes when i use to talk to him but i though it would go away when he got older..He started school and would be on his on..Wouldn't pay attention in class and would play my him self.. The school thought he was to young for school  because is Birthday was in September 21 in which he had just turn 5.. So he repeated kindergarten..His second year they notice he was the same so they evaluated him in school..That's how I find out what he had..He his doing really well now... He is in regular  class room in middle school...Just Reading he does get help in..If you have any questions feel free to ask me..
