I am so glad you posted this!!!

It is important to know there are safer alternatives. AND I feel we should stop rewarding companies who manufacture products that have chemicals that are KNOWN to be harmful to our bodies.

Our children are at even greater risk because of their body size, and the lack of having a mature immune system.

If you or anyone you know would like to look at an alternative that is safer please see me.

This is so scary.  It is one of the reasons I only use Shaklee Cleaners ( http://www.shaklee.net/healthmatters4u/getclean/index )  in our household.

One of the little girls (18 mos old) in our town got ahold of the Shaklee Basic H and drank it.  Her mother called poison control, they looked it up.  Told her her daughter would be fine and vomit once in @ 45 minutes.  That is exactly what happend - the little girl played, vomited & went right back to playing.  No residual effects from ingesting this safe cleaner.

This product is used to make window cleaner, all purpose cleaner and de greaser.  Imagine what this mother's heartbreak would have been if she had one of those commercial cleaners available for this accident.  Thank God she didn't.

I am a representative of Shaklee for a variety of other reasons,

- (You can check out my Journal on No Sick Visits if you are interested.  http://www.cafemom.com/journals/read/1158163/Does_Back_To_School_Mean_Ear_Infections_Pink_Eye_Colds_Strep_Throat

 -  so I very excitedly told this story at dinner -so proud of my company's  philosophy of Always Safe, Always Green, Always Works - My son - who was 18 at the time wondered aloud "Why did she drink that"

He is not around young children - so I tried to explain the unpredictability of little ones.

"No, I get that", he said.  "Why did she drink that stuff, it tastes horrible!"

Whether they are 18 mos or 18 years old, children are unpredictable.

OMG... How scary!!!!!!! I always Have hand sanitizers at home since the girls were born! I always keep out of their reach, but you never know when or how they can get a hold of things!!! I mainly use Germ-X brand, the wipes and liquid.
