Teacher Orientation

I went to parent teacher orientation last night at my sons school.  His school is huge.  1260 kids in one elementary school.  It is the largest in Texas.  I do like his teacher.  She seems very good with the kids.  I just hope that we have another good year.  For the size school that it is I would like to see more parents involced.  I think that my son has 22 kids in his class and maybe 5 parents were there.  Where are the parents?  Do people not realize how important it is to be present your childs educaion?
