I can still remember everything about that day:
I was in college @ Suny Old Westbury & a student came in & said that a plane crashed into one of the towers-we thought it was just an accident-then as i walked to my other class, everyone was huddled around the teachers desk-(her daughter worked in one of the towers)-it was then that we learned the other tower was hit too & that we were under attack-I was sooo scared b/c my (then boyfriend) sometimes worked in the city & his brother & wife worked very close to the twin towers-I tried calling my bf but all the phone lines were down-I left class & went home & thank god my bf came home after me.
I watched the news & couldn't get the images out of my head of the planes crashing into the towers & the poor innocent people jumping out of the windows.
I knew of at least 8 people who died that day & every year on this day when they call out the names, I can't help but cry for these poor families that have lost loved ones.

I remember driving in my car to a conference in britain and hearing reports on BBC of one plane hitting. Then the newscaster said on no a newsflash another plane has just hit too. I was crying driving down the highway

I was in 2nd period English class, senior year. I'll never forget that! We were told to turn the TV's on and we actually watched the second plane fly into the tower. I watch the remembrance every year and it still brings me to tears. The greatest thing we can do is always remember.
