Most of my CafeMom friends don't really know what I look like.  But here is ... time for the revealing.  LOL...  I am Jeanne - The one and only!  I am a mom and a "gan~gan" and I am a survivor of breast cancer.  7 years, 8 years come end of Oct. 2008.  Someone shout! Hallelujah and Amen.

My CafeMom friend has Cancer.  I sat yesterday and finished this painting.  I had so many thoughts and prayers for her running through my mind.  I was listening to Nathan Keck and The Underground Blues Division CD and every so often it would play.  My favorite song in the whole wide world.... "LOOK TO THE SKY!"  My emotions ran wild.  I would think of how when I was diagnosed I could only see pink.  I couldn't allow myself to see any other color.  I did Look to the Sky.  I looked there for courage and inspiration.  I looked there for strength.  I was bound by faith and not pink ribbons but I did swing from them like Tarzan and Jane on a vine.  They did get me from point A to point B!

My granddaughter was also an inspiration while I painted.  I am awful at painting noses and not that good at faces but I knew what I wanted here.  I wanted courage.  I wanted strength.  I also knew what I didn't want.  I don't want Nae~Nae to have to fight this fight! I want to see a cure!

So for my friend...you are a champion.  I pray for you and cheer you on!  I painted this one for you gal!...With guidance from God and with a little inspriation from Nate... it is finsihed.  Let's all look to the sky!  Love and Hugs and cheers for all the survivors... the champions who have the courage to fight and the champions who help find the cure for all types of Cancer!
