I vote because I have the right and responsibility to vote.
I vote because great and courageous men and women made worked tirelessly, made sacrifices, and in some cases, died, so that I can exercise this right. To not vote would belittle their patriotism.
I vote because there are billions all over the world who wish they could. I can.
I vote, even if the Electoral College makes my vote worthless.
I vote because the politicians who represent me, need my vote. (Or so they tell me).
I take my children when I vote, so they will know it is important.
I vote because I am proud to be an American.
For seven years I have grieved for the victims of the September 11 attacks, and for their families. As citizens of this country we owe it to them to become informed and vote. Take the time to find out the truth of what our presidential candidates stand for and vote responsibly. We owe it to anyone whose life was lost in an attack on the United States of America or on her citizens.
This is why I vote.
