I am not sure if the is right place for this request but here I go anyway.

My dd is having trouble with her little brother getting sicker. We are at the pallative stage of care for our son, and there is no treatment that will reverse the disease process.I need to know if anyone out in Cafemom land knows of any greif support groups for college age kids in Tucson, Arizona?

My daughter is a typical over-achiver sib with a sick sib., so she has been doing a lot of reading since finding out about the dnr order on the side of the fridge.  This is totally screwing up her plans to have her brother move in with her after law school.  I can listen and talk to her but I think that she needs an outside voice of reason.  She has also tried her dads approach of avodance of the subject, but this does not seem to work for her.

Any books or recomendations of groups or books would be helpful. I don't think they covered this in Dr.Spock and I am at a loss.

I counsel young people, I live in Minnesota, if she would like to talk or type about it, I would be more than happy to help.

I just wanted to say, My thoughts are with your family...my son has severe CP, he is 7.  I have a "healthy" daughter (age4) and hearing your story makes me want to cry and burst with pride at the same time! Your DD sounds so self-less and mature, what a great girl you have!!  I wish I knew what would help her....Maybe an online support group? there are lots of those....yahoo groups for one, has hundreds of groups for all different things. I wish you and your family the best, I looked at your profile and your kids are beautiful!! Your son reminds me so much of Jacob, my 7 yr old.
