in the fourth grade there was a tornado in my town.  we had a new principle who upon hearing the second sounding of the alarms thought it was a all clear so we were released.  It was blowing so bad I remember ducking my head and counting 100 steps then looking up to see where I was.  I couldn't look up because it made my eyes water.  I had 8 blocks to walk.  part of the was home a tree fell infront of me bringing down the power line.  it was spitting and whipping around on the ground.  I started to turn back and another tree fell behind me again bringing down the powrer lione.  I ran forward and climbed through the branches.  I jumped over the now not moving power line.  Further alongf I saw my friend on her hands and knees next to a puddle she was crying her glasses had been blown off her face and landed in the puddle.  She was afraid to go home cause her mom always told her not to lose those glasses.  I saw the glasses grabbed them and pulledf her to her feet. she couldn't see with the muddy glasses so I lead her home I saw her mom coming out the back door so I shouted to her to follow the fence and put her hand on it. I started down the alley three houses away.  Later I learned Rubys mom tried to call to me to come in but I didn't hear her.  at the corner of my yard I fell to my knees  I wasd crawling across the yard  hard full of grass at a time.  I felt my legd raise slightly I held on and kept crawling.  It felt like I was walking on my hands but those watching say I wasn't.  yes there were those watching.  Rubys mom had called my mom and she looked out the window just as I fell.  she ran to the door but couldn't get it open as a struggled.  Later the neighbor across the alley said she watched me but was afraid to go out and help.  The door to the house burst open just as I got to the corner off the house and mom ran out wrapped me in her arms and carried me into the house.  I remember the relief and safety I felt as moms arms closed around me.

the  next day we found out we children were sent out into the worse part of the storm.  It was a miricle the only injuries were minor.

The most scearest experince with Mother nature, was when I was 21, Me and my best friend use to go out and chase tornado's. We got so close to one, and that one split into 2, they were twin's, they both trapped us, it nearly took every thing, the car, well, her and I got out of the car soon enough, and got under a brigde, the twister, took off with the car, and we held on for dear life. That was the last time we ever chased another tornodo ever.sad
