I am a Pin Up

You ever look up one day and realize you have four kids?  Then you pass the mirror after a shower ad realize that you don't recognize your body anymore.  There is so much more of you and it's so much....squishier.  Well, I did and it's been a horrible blow to my self esteem.  So my clothes got sloppy and my hair stayed in a ponytail-on days that I bothered to do anything with it.  This made things worse.  One day, I came across the thepinupblog.com.  Tali has created a site dedicated to the retro sex appeal of the pin up.  Furthermore, she paints pin ups from real people.  And she painted me.  Here I am:

Do you know how good that makes me feel?  First of all, it makes me want to wear bangs LOL!  It also has me dressing up a little.  In the past week I bought 3 new outfits and a pair of shoes. I am reinventing my look and it's a little retro-wonder why?  I started wearing lipstick (and mascara, eye shadow, and eyeliner!) again. I have been taking some time with my hair. I have even started excercising. I feel like a person again. I feel like a woman, an attractive woman.   I don't know how to thank Tali for all she's done. 

You can get painted, too.  Just go to her site and click the tab that says, "Get Painted."

I do know how to thank her:  I plan on buying birthday cards with me on them, a clock, a journal and a tile LOL  Maybe a poster, too!  I also plan on getting painted again in the future....
