I am writing this as a warning for all you moms out there who have kids that ride bikes. (Yes I know just about everyone)

I had decided to let my son Xavier spend the night at a friends house last night. About an 2 hours after he left I got a phone call from his friend. Drew was upset and crying telling me that they was bringing Xavier home because he had cut his finger and it was pretty bad. So they brought him home and yes it was bleeding bad. The tip of his middle finger had been cut off. Yes you read that right cut off. About 1/4 of an inch had been cut. So off to the hospital I went. I don't do blood very well so I was pretty proud of myself for being able to drive will my poor baby was bleeding on the seat next to me. I actually yelled at him because he had me so scared. He wouldn't sit up and looked like he was going into shock from all the blood lose. When we got to the hospital thankfully they got to him right away and we was ushered right back. They asked where the tip was and I couldn't tell them. I called Drew and found out that his mom had found the tip of his finger in the bike chain. He couldn't remember what happened so of course they couldn't do anything but clean it and bandage it up. Now comes what happened. About 2 hours after we get back home, I asked again and he said he remembered and started telling me.

Now comes the warning.......

While he was riding his bike his chain messed up and he was trying to fix it. While spinning the peddles and trying to get the chain back on there right it ripped the tip off.

Please Please everyone keep a good eye on those chains. Make sure your babies no matter how old they are dont mess those chains. Have someone older do it. I would hate for anyone else to go through what we went through last night. It was one of the most scariest days of my life.
