Whats wrong with me...

So Im in my 37th week of pregnancy and tomorrow I'll be in my 38th but ugh Im so impatient! I want my baby, I cant wait. I have 2 other children so this is my third but omg its been the longest 37-38 weeks by far. My Dr is old fashioned and he believes that the baby will come when she's ready. Ummm isnt she "ready" Im sure she's done why cant he just do me the favor and help her come out already?
I'm mostly disappointed cause I went in friday night last week with contractions and they monitored me for almost 6 hours. I was contracting 2-5 minutes apart and they were off the scale then I went to 4 minutes apart with them being strong but not as strong. My dr didnt even bother to go see me either cause he wasnt the OB dr on call. Umm last time I checked I was his patient. Im paying him to look after me not some dr on call. Anyway 6 hours later I go home and thats it. Last night by bp was up but they didnt see any cause for concern. Ok, whatever so I'm going to see the dr tomorrow and see what he says but I have a feeling I'll be going on 40 wks still pregnant and then maybe he'll induce me then or if not I could go up to 41. Im so uncomfortable and emotional all I want to do is cry and sleep. Maybe Im just being a baby but gosh Im ready for this baby to be out!!!!

Nothing's wrong with you!  I've recently been in your shoes!  Just had my 3rd son in January.  My 1st (42 wks) & 2nd (41 wks) were both late, both induced, & both over 8 pounds.  (My oldest is my Type 1 so that's how I found this journal post.... read the reply on how many units of insulin & was curious on his age.)  Anyhow, with all, I had false labor a couple of times so even though I was miserable, I gave up on hoping for this one to be on time or early b/c I knew from previous pregnancies that my cervix doesn't like to co-operate even though everything else does!  I went for a normal check-up at 38 wks & no changes, went for another normal check-up at 39 wks & signed me up for an emergency c-section because the baby had changed positions, did a new sonogram & saw the cord was wrapped around his neck so they couldn't let me go into labor.  Wild, huh?  He's my chunky monkey.... 8 months old & already over 20 pounds.
