Yoplait ~ Save Lids To Save Lives... My Story

1st task from Cafemom and Yoplait 

 

I am so touched, I have been asked by Cafemomto create my own team for the "Yoplait Save Lids To Save Lives" drive. I happily accept. You do not know how much this means to me... I have been gone from NJ for almost 3 years... that is when I left the only thing that was really important to me. I formed an Islamic Girls groups called "the Sisters Islamic Society" (SIS for short).... It was an Islamic version of the Girl Scouts, so much fun we had... Teaching skills, Sharing ideas and gaining confidence and Building Islamic Knowledge. And one of the tasks that the girls had to do was raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness... and that they did, and we participated in the walk, what an experience that was..... That year we had 3 of our sisters fight the Breast Cancer Battle.... 2 Succumbed to their battle...May Allah grant them Jennah (Heaven) Amen.... and the other sister fought and by the grace of Allah won her battle.....

We all learned a lot that year... we talked and cried and laughed at all the memories that we shared that day.... Some of the girls had Aunts, Grandmothers, Cousins and even family friends that either passed away from Breast Cancer or Won that Battle by the Grace of Allah (God)... I am crying just remembering.... I  miss them all so much... (the girls) and those we knew that passed on) ... It was a great day... and the walk so rewarding.

This cause is very important to me for the meir fact that God said that their is a cure for every disease except death..... and there are women dieing every day from this disease, and some have been very close to home in the Islamic community,

I would like to invite all of my friends here at Cafemom to join me, my sister, my neighbors, I will even make fliers to send o my sons class and the other 1st grade classes to collect the lids... I will ask my place of worship to collect also... any and all whom I know.

Join me in this cause... Please your help is needed.

Blessings to do the work of your heart...I know that there are many women on here that know someone that breast cancer has taken or is battling.  We have to help each other in whatever way we can...
