A MOTHER'S LOVE IS VERY POWERFUL...

                                WHEN YOU WERE FIRST BORN,

I GUESS.. FROM THE VERY MOMENT, I LAID MY EYES ON YOU...

    

I FELT IT... A RUSH OF LOVE

A FEELING OF JOY

 

     SO OVERWHELMING.....

    

  A  FEELING OF WARMTH SO GREAT

            IT BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES...

                             

                 

I ASKED MYSELF...

"IS THIS WHAT A MOTHER'S LOVE FEELS LIKE?"

 

 "IS  THIS ANGEL...

MINE... TO HOLD... TO HELP GROW...

TO BE THE VERY BEST MOTHER... I CAN BE?"

 

IT MUST BE...AS I LOOK BACK,

 

 THERE WAS NO MORE IMPORTANT TIME IN MY LIFE...

  THAN THE NIGHT YOU LOOKED INTO MY EYES.... 

I KNEW THEN... THAT YOUR WERE SPECIAL...

      YOU SO SMALL GIVEN TO ME BY GOD...

   

 TO TEACH ME HOW TO LOVE.....

  TO FIND A JOY...

I HAD NEVER EXPERIENCED BEFORE....

 

 AND NOW SO MANY YEARS LATER....

 

I AM STILL SO HAPPY TO BE YOUR MOTHER.....

 

YOUR SMILE WARMS ME

         

    YOUR LAUGHTER IS INFECTIOUS 

  

WHEN I AM BLUE AND I FEEL LIKE CRYING

YOUR LOVE SURROUNDS ME.....

  AND I FIND THAT I AM NO LONGER SAD.....

   

A MOTHER'S LOVE IS VERY

POWERFUL...    

    I NEVER KNEW HOW POWERFUL... UNTIL I HELD YOU IN MY ARMS.....

UNTIL YOU SAID... "MOMMA...."

YOU ARE MY SWEET, SWEET CHILD...

                   AND I LOVE YOU MORE

              THAT YOU CAN EVER KNOW.....

I know each of you special mom's are getting ready to celebrate our children at a Down Syndrome Buddy Walk in your area as they are going on across these Untied States.

May you rejoice that day and everyday for the gift of our children. Go and support the event and have great time bringing Down syndrome awareness to your community
