I think things were easier BEFORE she could talk!

Well, she is talking up a storm now and has been for some time now.  When she just cooed and gurgled I wished she could talk.  All that cooing and gurgling and even the crying was always so sweet but I wanted words... I am begining to regret that!  She is talking now and she is so demanding, bossy, and now even her cries sound mean; AND HER LANGUAGE!!!! I'm not sure where she is getting this stuff.  Her newest FAVORITE phrase is "What the...." *pause for dramatic effect* "hail"  So I started freaking out.  When I came to, I started trying to figure out where she got this phrase from...

Friends and family? Mentally went through the list and NOPE, none of them use it.

TV?  Well, we don't watch much TV.  I watch CSI while she is sleeping/napping and I don't recall them really using that phrase anyways... She watches Dora... I usually don't watch it with her.  Is Dora "Exploring" new words. *Note to self. Don't let Korigan watch Dora until I have previewed it with her.

Church? Hmmm, don't recall that sermon if that is where she got it

Hospital? Well, I haven't heard any of the drs. at the Children's Hospital using that phrase (Not even after looking in her ears)

My mom says "the s-word" and of course Korigan has picked it up.  She can talk for 3 minutes saying all kinds of stuff and the only word Korigan will repeat is, of course, the cuss word.  HOW DO THEY ALWAYS PICK OUT THE CUSS WORD?  And now she has made up another song... I like her other songs a LOT better.  this new one is more of a chant that I hear when she is playing or trying to put herself to sleep. It goes

"what the..... hail, what the.... hail, what the..... hail" over and over and over...

I wonder if there is an operation that can be done to make kids unable to cuss?  LOL If so, I wonder if my insurance would cover it? LOL

mama i am going through the same thing  my oldest is 2 and repeats everything. i have got him out of saying what the hail and the f bomb by ever time he says it i would put him in timeout and then walk away for a few min. maybe a min or untill he stops crying and then i go and explain to him why he is in time out and mke a cuss jar. that way when ever someone cusses around her or in the same house as her make them pay like 25 cents for the minor words and the prices go up at the words go up. that worked with my bro. good luck

Its kinda cute!  Since it isn't my kid, I suppose!  LOL!  Try enunciating a different word when she say's "Hail"  Like "Heck" or something silly then go chanting around the house, really silly like, chanting!  Throw a different phrase in there that she could pick up on that sounds silly.  Make it a big game.  She doesn't know its a bad word she just knows that adults may say it and you don't like it!  There are worse words and any parent won't worry that your kid said "hail" in the grocery store.  They are too worried that their kid is saying "sh#@!" anyway!  Good luck. 

My baby is at the repeating stage!  Its so cute!  I have to watch it when I'm driving!  I'm notorious for cussing at other drivers!  LOL!

hahahahaha i wonder if my insurance will cover it! girl you need to really start a blog... this was great!... elijah one time told me Mama I have to piss.. we have no idea where he got it from.. we don't curse at our house.. hmm it might be dora?! OMG!!!??? Elijah and Korigan are watching Dora and we don't know where they get these mysterious curse words from??? hmmmm lol...

WAIT.. IT MUST BE DORA... because yesterday destiney said
"I have to piss"  also and she repeatedly says "God dammy..." and that is from her "GREAT grandmother" (she watches her occasionally during the week)
