Hmm, looks like I skipped a week. Can't remember why though!
Sunday I weighed in at 198. AF has been and gone, so this week should be better. I had DH home sick 3 days, and DD 1 day, last week. Somehow I managed to eat myself, but I didn't get but two days of exercise in. Unless you count running behind a puking kid to the toilet three times in 2 hours! But everyone's better this week. I have three busy days to look forward to as well. I'll find the time to do something, every day.
Tomorrow we have an appointment at the bank to talk with the investments manager, regarding the kids' 529 accounts. Sorry, I just forsee another Black Tuesday, and I'd rather have their money for the future in their savings accounts - not sinking on the NYSE ship. Thursday is DD's day to take in the class snack (so I'll be baking Wednesday night) and I have a conference with her teacher after school that day. Luckily it's DH's day off so we'll probably order dinner in :-) Friday the kids are off school, I think a teacher workday. Saturday, our littlest niece will be a year old and we'll be going to that party. I need to dump the camera before then, since our out-of-state nephew and his parents won't be there, I'd like to take a bunch of pictures so they can see what went on too. The party is at 2 and will likely involve a grilled dinner followed by cake, ice cream, and gifts. DH has to work at 4 so we may not be able to stay long, or I'll bring him home and go back to the party - that's something we just play by ear.
Looks like a busy week, but it probably won't end up that way. We have a local clothing store going out of business, so I hope to hit them up Wed and find clothes for the kids. Almost everything is at least 70% off! I fould a new (and gorgeous!) dress for Clare today, almost Easter-y in the fabric and all, for $10. Regular price was almost $50! There's another store in town so I'l going to look around that location too. They're DONE by Saturday, and it is truly bare-bones! They're even selling their clothes dummies... oh, if I knew one was close to my size, I'd take it for my future sewing room! (They all looked to be the "average" size 8, and not adjustable at all.) I'm thinking about calling my brother and asking if he needs any jeans. Most of the men's jeans were $20 or less now that they're 50% off - I saw "Izod", I guess it's an expensive brand? Anyway I want to see if I can't get at least one thing for all the guys in my family for Christmas gifts. I should see if MIL wants to go look for clothes for FIL, they have tons of church clothes.
Yeah, I rambled on that one... but come on, a sale like that deserves to be talked about! :-) For you local mamas, it's Dawahares. There's one in Fayette Mall, I went to Gardenside location today and found the above. It's over in 6 days! Let me know if you want a shopping buddy too :-)
Oh right, this was supposed to be my WLJ. Pardon my scattered brain today! On that note we did buy more salmon and other fish, rather than chicken and beef, last time we went shopping. I made a quick inventory but need to get on the meal options. I have tonight figured out so far.... but yeah, that's it for now. I know we bought a good week and a half of food, other than fruit and potatoes (which we already need). Maybe tonight I can have the boy help me with the lists. I need to teach him how to plan better anyway, so once I learn maybe he'll catch on too!
Well it's nearly time to get the kids from school. Have a great week!
