just another boring day.

So, it's been a long time since I've logged onto CafeMom.  I don't really remember why I quit logging on.  I think that these things just happen.

A lot has happened since the last time I was here.  I started seeing a man named Gary.  He's twenty seven and works at Whirlpool headquarters.  We have a ridiculous amount of things in common, including him and my daughter sharing a Christmas birthday.  We moved in with him and his roommate a little over a month ago.  His roommate is his friend of over fifteen [ ? ] years, who doesn't seem especially pleased that we moved in, although, he agreed to it.  I think that he's just not used to having a young child around.  We'll see what happens with this.

So, here I am.  I'm home alone.  My daughter is in school until about a quarter after four, and my boyfriend is at work until about a quarter after six.  My roommate is at work, also, and there's no telling when he'll show back up.  I have all of this time to myself.  It's not as great as it sounds.  I clean to keep myself busy, for the most part.  I also play on the computer.  I can't watch television for a lack of cable, but, I can watch movies.  Watching movies is probably my least favorite thing to do, though.  I don't have my own vehicle at the moment, so, I can't just go on a drive, or run errands.  I just get to hang out here, alone with myself, wondering what I should do to make the time pass faster.  I made the mistake of taking a nap, yesterday.  I hardly slept at all last night.  There's plenty of yardwork to be done, but, I don't have the right tools.  I tend to sweep the carport and the patch of cement outside of the backdoor quite often.  I haven't done that in about a week, or so.  Sigh.

Halloween is coming soon!  I've already bought a bagful of decorations.  I was ready to put them up two weeks ago, but, Gary told me I had to wait until the first of October.  LOL.  So, I'm waiting patiently, but, I think about it every day.  Mostly because I know that it'll be something new to do.  I've also been trying to think of other cheap ways to decorate the outside of the house/yard.  All of our decorations have come from Wal-Mart, at good prices.  I've bought a box of orange lights, a small decorative stake for in the ground, a big bag of that fake spider web stuff for our bushes, and these bloody window clings.  My mom said that she had some old Halloween decorations that I could have.

So, that's about it.  Just another boring day.  I did, however, forget to mention that I quit smoking.  Hooray?  LOL.  It was easier than I thought it was going to be, but, at times like these when I'm just sitting here, I really wish I could have one!  Well, I'm off to finish all of those loads of laundry that built up over the weekend!  Have a good day.

On second thought, I have something else to add.  I'm sure there are plenty of other moms in the same position as myself [ Not working, no car, no one else home during the day! ] on here, so, I'd like to ask, what do you do to keep yourself busy during the day?
