Help! I can not get out of my house

So I find myself in a very funny spot.  I am stuck in my house/neighborhood.  I am closed off to the world.  1st the city decided that they were going to fix the street behind me because it is in poor condition- they announced it this summer we all knew it was coming- a good thing.  That particular street is the way in and out of our developement.  So at the north end we are now not able to get out but can leave the south end.   Well yesterday there was a massive water main break at the corner of the southend- now you can get out the south end but you can only go south or west and let me tell you it is not like oh go and turn down a street and come back around- it is a mile up the street where you can turn and another mile to turn back down and so forth- it ends up to be 4 miles out of the way.  I live in the suburbs nothing is 4 miles.  So then all of a sudden hundreds of people started descending into my neighborhood. I was quite confused.  I saw my neighbor driving towards the south end to leave the developement so I told her to tell me what is going on around the corner.  I love my neighbor she is really innocent sometimes.   She starts saying "Oh my God I think there has been a murder.  Some one is dead!  There are people all over the place and T.V. trucks everywhere.  There are like 20 police cars.  Oh my God something bad has happened"     Now when these people where descending on my end of the neighborhood they were all young kids-early 20s and carrying signs I just couldn't see the signs.   I told my neighbor to focus on the signs what did they say.  I said no one died.  So she said the signs said something about OBAMA.   Then I knew.  I knew John Mccain was in the city next door visiting and our neighborhood is on one side of the street and in one city and the other side of the street is another city.  Any ways John Mccain is over there visiting the businesses.  So that has completely blocked off the south end of the neighborhood so I can not get out.  Work is calling they would like me to come in.  Technically if I could get out I could get there because it is the only direction I could anyways.  So now I am just waiting for John Mccain to leave.  I just think that it is funny that I can't go anywhere because of a set of unrelated things happening all at once.

lol! at least it is a break from work for a little., we have been blocked in bad this week too, doing public sewage on our road and this week was our turn, right in front of our house they had our driveway gone and everything, we had to drive through the grass to get out and sometimes that was even impossible! I did not even get mail for two days now.. hopefully they will be finishing up today. hope you get out soon.

you could tell your boss that mccain put you on house arrest until he leaves!
