As you all know we will be electing a new president this November. As a concerned citizen I feel obligated to comprise a public service announcement. I strongly urge everyone who is a registered voter to get out there and vote this election year. And those few who are not registered voters let me just say shame on you and get out there and exercise your right as an American citizen to vote. If you do not exercise your rights to vote do not complain about the outcome. Don't let skepticism keep you away from the polls this voting season and make you think your vote doesn't count; everyone's vote counts.
Who you vote for is your business. I beg everyone to not vote for a particular candidate solely based on the following:
•1. Party
•2. Popularity
•3. Looks
•4. Fashion sense
•5. A celebrity you admire is voting for them
Everyone should take the time to make an educated decision. Find out what the issues are and each candidates stance. Key issues to consider, naming a few:
•1. The war in Iraq
•2. Alternate Energy Sources
•3. Budget & Spending
•4. Health Care
•5. Gun Control
•6. Education
•7. Abortion
It is our jobs as Americans to make sure the oval office is occupied by someone we believe is up to the task at hand. Who ever becomes president has a jagged road ahead of them and is inheriting a complete disaster of a country.
As far as whom you are voting for, I feel that is a very personal decision that only you can make but I also feel since it is a decision that is going to affect millions Americans it better be an educated decision.

Comments:
It's great that you said that people should look at the information instead of being swayed by looks, or what another person they admire says about a candidate. We all should think for oursleves at the end of the day. And vote for what matters most to us.
I am a staunch supporter of people voting for which candidate best suits themselves and their families. I would like to add factcheck.org to your list of sights to visit. This site wades through the bull and tells the truth about the lies thrown around.
Everyone please get educated and vote for the candidate that YOU feel is best suited to the job. Mudslinging, lies and lack of media attention is no reason not to vote for the man or woman you want in the White House. Good luck, ladies!!!!
I couldn't agree more! I ALWAYS have voted since I was old enough. Way to go!!!!
