stupid people

i am so mad i got off work yesterday morning at 8am when i get home i always put my 21/2 year old German Shepard in the back yard, well i have noticed that someone has tried to open my gate i don't know if they wanted her or what they were thinking so my husband decided to put a runner up so that if anyone came in the yard after her they would have to walk the whole back yard and unhook her (his theory someone would see them) well that is exactly what they did when i got up at 3 i went out to give her more water and she was gone the gate was open but her runner wasn't broke. i called DH and he said drive around and see if i can see her so that what i did. i didn't find her and my 8 year old daughter is having a break down i don't understand how some people can live with them selves i would never have the nerve to enter someones back yard and take something that didn't belong to me in the first place. i call the police and they told me just to keep calling the local shelter and vets offices to see if she turns up that i don't think is going to happen WHAT A WORLD WE LIVE IN
