Breastfeeding

I can't help but feel upset when people think that formula is as good as breastmilk. They don't inform theirselves. Because it's not even close. I'm just so upset that we as americans think we know it all but we don't know the simple facts . The most natural things that are the best start from the begining even before conception. So why don't these mothers want the best? My opinion is other are not informed or just don't care that much about their children.

I think some mothers pick what's best for them and not for their baby. Of course, there is that slim percent that have real reasons not to nurse, but when the majority can-the majority should be-any amount breastmilk is healthy for a baby.

I think moms who choose not to breastfeed don't have enough support.  From everything I've heard and all the stories of how hard some women have had it (mastitis 4 time and still bf!!) I think it all comes down to someone else to support you through the tough times and education.  Of course there is the selfish fact too, moms who just don't want to for various reasons and don't care that it's best for baby.  I'm encouraged at the popularity of bf among celebrities, that should send out a good message.
