Politics are overrated.

I am already SO tired of the politics and the election. I mean really people? Obama is not the "anti-Christ" or "anti-American." McCain is more than likely not going to die in the next four years. Another popular question: Is Palin a liar, yes or no? Of course she is! They all are, they are politicians. They lie, they are sneaky and they are out to win. Do you think the Democrats chose Obama because he is the very best candidate in the world and the Republicans chose Palin because she's the best? Or do you think they knew that an African American or a Woman would help them win? I mean that does not make either candidate less qualified because of their race or gender, I'm thrilled that we are finally seeing real equality, but if you think for one moment that the parties did not take into consideration the new voters that these groundbreaking candidates would bring to the polls, you are naive and crazy. It's all a game. One will win, and half the country will be pissed, but no one (or very very few) will "move to Canada" because their candidate loses.

The truth of the matter is, each candidate is just a front for the party. You are voting for the Republicans or the Democrats. You just have to choose who is the lesser of two evils, based on your own personal values and beliefs, whether those be abortion and Iraq or gay rights and education. No one is going to be swayed by your cafemom arguments. It's a sad truth, so vote for yourself.
