Bunny's Journal

Thoughts and Ramblings

As I wrote last week, the radiologist and doctor at the Cancer Center felt that I have a (most-likely) benign tumor in my right breast. They sent me a letter to this effect yesterday.

Today, I got a call from my wonderful doctor's wonderful nurse (I love these people, seriously), Jose. Jose said although the cancer center and my OB feel it is okay to just wait six months for a follow up, my doctor and the breast surgeon (his wife) feel it is in my best interest to remove all doubt. So he wants further testing and possible removal of the tumor.

I was very glad to hear this, as this is what we talked about when I saw him last week and what I wanted. I just feel like, if it doesn't belong there, they should take it out, plus they cannot be 100% sure it is not cancer unless they test the tumor.

My goal here, particularly if it IS cancer, is to have this all done and taken care of while my children are at an age that they perhaps will never remember me going through this.

So, now a little more waiting....the surgeon's scheduler should call me no later than the first of next week to set up my appointment...but I'm okay with it. I just want this whole mess done with. I need to know what is happening and get to taken it care of so I can get on with my life.

Thanks for all your love and support sisters! I'll keep you posted.

I am so glad it is most likely benign.  Thank you GOD.  Sending you lots of healing love and hugs to hold you until you doctors appt.  I agree with you that removing it is a good thing to do.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Love and hugs to YOU...♥

I agree...if it were me...I'd be wanting it "outta there" too!

Seems like the best route to go!
