have arthroscopic knee surgery unless your 100% sure you can't live with the pain. I say this because the pain of this "non invasive surgery" is a trillion times more than the pain I dealt with before!!
I was so proud of myself yesterday morning. I could walk without crutches and had no pain. The first time in 3 months. Then the local that they injected into my knee decided to vacate. I can't do shit!! Simple tasks are a crisis. When I start to cry, I remember my mom (with 2 knee replacements). How the hell she deals, I don't know. But I do know that she is more of a woman that I am. This freaking shit hurts. I thought the dr was crazy when he gave me a paper that said:
"beginning the day after surgery:
1 ASA (aspirin) per day for 3 weeks
Breakfast: 2 celebrex + 2 extra strengh Tylenol (APAP)
Lunch: 2 APAP
Supper: 2 celebrex + 2 APAP
Bedtime: Pain meds or APAP "
I was also advised "whenever you sit down, make sure you put your leg straight with toes up. no bending the knee"
The pain is terrible when you sit this way. However, if you keep it bent then when you go to stand up, you can't get the bitch straight. The freaking drugs keep me drowsey and nauseated (I can't take simple APAP without sleeping for hours on end)
Enough feeling sorry for myself. Here is a pic of knees on day 3 after surgery ..

Thats why I never let them do surgery on my wrist. You always take the risk that it can get better or worse.
Give it time, though. Things can change.
The worse thing to do is get yourself down over it because thats how your body will respond. Positive thinkin does wonders!
Good luck, sweetie <3
OUCH!! Give it the time it needs to heal...and stop doing everything. You are NOT superwoman....I repeat, you are NOT superwoman!
