I love CM and I love the mamas on here. What I do not love is having my inbox inundated with hoaxes and chain emails and expired Amber Alerts. I know ya'll mean well, but it only takes a second to google something or to check snopes.
#1 The little girl from Minot, ND, has been missing since 2006, not since May. Her Amber Alert has been rescinded because it's been so long. Sadly, she hasn't been found and the guy that took her committed suicide. http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/missing/reachelle.asp
#2 Burundunga is a real drug. HOWEVER it has no smell or flavor. You cannot be incapaciated by a card soaked in it. http://www.snopes.com/horrors/mayhem/burundanga.asp
#3 There are no parking lot bandits knocking people out with ether. There just aren't. This has never happened. http://www.snopes.com/crime/warnings/perfume.asp
I could go on, but I just deleted my inbox.
From now on, I will give everyone ONE chance. If you keep sending me these things without verifying them, I am gonna have to block you.
Just google. It only takes a few seconds.
Comments:
I hear ya!!! My inbox is full of this crap too! and if I have to see that poor shaken baby syndrome baby and her crying mother one more time I'm gonna scream, its soo freakin depressing!
I just delete anything that goes to my bulk folder. If someone wants to tell me something, they can write me a personal note. I actually un-friended and blocked one lady who sent me nothing but forwarded messages and hate filled religious junk mail!
Geez, I feel ya! But I don't particularly like getting bulk mail at ALL. I just don't understand why people feel the need to send the same message to everyone on their friend's list? Why not just post it in a journal for all of us to read? I just don't like bulk mail and forwards and chain letters, but i have to admit, I'm guilty of doing the same thing, lol. Except I don't send my day's updates to everyone thru emails, I just post journal entries!
Well said! Last time I looked in my Junk mail box, there were a couple of hundred messages there! What I don't get is those moms who send about SIX, that's right SIX messages a DAY, telling me they're off to this that and the other! Especially when I have never had anything to do with them and they just befriended me.

I don't know how many things like that I have in my inbox. I set it up to not alert me to bulk mail, LOL.
