I'm glad someone posted this and that there is availability in many states!  In our area there are 14!  Thanks for keeping an eye out for everyone in these hard times!  ////

I want to thank you for posting this information. We recently had a bad storm hit our area that knocked out power for days, and even still some have no power. We lost everything in our fridge, and with rent due we have had to take it easy on the food. This program will truly be a huge help for my family and others that I know of. Thank you again!

We tried this out a couple of months ago and I have to say, I was not impressed.  The meat was tough and I found I could do better at the grocery for the food we eat.

It depends on the menu that particular month.  We've used it and had a lot of success - especially when it's used creatively.  But some months, I prefer the grocery store.  It's well worth it to check out the menu and see how it suits your family that month!!

sgr123: yeah us too. They gave us one pack of meat.  Some of the things that were supposed to be in there were missing.  And if you get the fruit and veggie special half of it is gone.  I really think that i f they can't get something they need to replace it with something else. But maybe taht is just me:(

We've never had any missing items in our boxes.  Yes, some months are very good.  Others, not so much.  I watch the menus before I order.  It works well.  I supplement with veggies from our garden.

They sell too many fried chicken items for my taste.

My sister just got her first order the other day and she was very pleased since she's on a tight budget.  I actually passed this info along to her after I found it somewhere here on Cafemom.  Thanks for posting so more people can learn about it, esp. the way the economy is going.
