I am honored (if I may call it that) to be asked to sing at a funeral this week.  I really don't know how I will make it through the 2 songs that I will be singing.  I don't take sadness very well, and I especially break when I see others cry.  I will be singing Ave Maria the Celine Dion version (half English, half Latin), and also Sara McLachlin's "Angel" (in the arms of an Angel).  2 of possibly the most beautiful songs that exist.  The reason why I am honored to be singing at this ceremony is because the story is so unfortunate about this young woman's death, and I feel honored that I was considered to be a part of the day, and by singing for the funeral will be my gift to express my sympathy to the family. The shortened, right to the point story of this young woman's(mid 20's) death is this....

Last year she went missing, her boyfriend was convicted of murder even though they didn't have a body because of the amount of evidence they found.  For a whole year the body was never recovered but because of the evidence they found, they had every reason to believe she was dead.  Just about a month or 2 ago, they found her poor body (and what he did to it), won't get into the gory details.  They didn't release the body until a few days ago because they were doing all tests and investigations.  If you live in Bergen County, you may have heard this story on the news or in the paper, I know that when they found the body they had an article in the paper, as well as tons of articles and TV coverage when her body first went missing last year.  I feel so sorry for this family, but at the same time I am happy for them, because at least now they will have some sort of closure.  I am sure the family knew all along that she was gone, but they didn't have all the answers.  So God now spoke up to give those answers and closure to them.  Please, I ask everyone to say a prayer for this family and victim, that they end  this week long horrible tragic week with peace. And please say a prayer for all the women in this world, that suffer from domestic violence.

Thank you,

Sue

That's really horrible. My heart goes out to the family. I'm sure you will find the strength to sing those songs.
