A Brother's Love

I have two special people I would like you all to meet. They are Will and Dan Drinker and they are brothers. Will has been filming his brother Dan, who has Down syndrome, since he was 11 and hopes to one day turn it into a documentary film,What he has captured on film is his relationship with Dan and the love they share. There are two reasons I care so deeply about this.

First, I have a brother with Down syndrome who has lived with me and my husband since 6 months after we were married(That is now 30 years!) and I have tried to explain to people how much my brother has brought to our family but Will does it so much better with his camera than my words ever could. I want to share the relationship these siblings have for each other.

Second, October is Down syndrome awareness month and I have promised to post on the subject often so I need your help. I want to know any question you might have about Down syndrome, developmental delays, mental retardation, chromosomes or genetics but have been afraid to ask. No question is stupid. If you do not want to post your question here you can send me a message and I will address it in my October journal posts. I will also be bringing you more videos of Dan and others.

Here are two videos just to get to know them.The first is recent when Will brought a girlfriend to their beach house and Dan saw then kissing.
