Am I almost overdue?

So Im basically 3 hours shy of being 40wks and still no baby. Im so overwhelmed with different emotions that I wouldnt even know where to begin if someone asked me how I was feeling. I was hoping that this baby would have been born say 2 wks ago but nope. I made it to 40 and it looks like I'll make it to 41 hell maybe even 42 weeks. Everyone keeps saying that she will come when she's ready. Ok ummm define ready. Oh and did I mention by the way that he THINKS she may weigh 7.5 lbs already. Oh my....I hope I can have this "big" baby. Anyway Im just here waiting and I thought I'd update on whats going on. Hopefully soon, real soon.

It'll come in time. I know it's hard waiting! My dd came 1 day after her due date and everyone said I wouldn't last to 40 weeks.

A due date is just a date of approximately when the baby will arrive. You can go two to three weeks past your due date before a doctor might consider inducing the baby. So hang in there.

Think of it like this, there are going to be so few times in your life you will ever experience a full baby inside you and enjoy it as much as possible. You will miss being pregnant when that baby delivers!

Thanks! Everyone said I wouldnt last my 40 wks either cause Im huge but I guess we will wait and see when she comes.

7.5lbs is not big.

And define "ready": well, once your baby is fully term and labour starts, that is "ready". There is no reason for induction at any point..
