Well, 2 weeks ago, Lacie had to go to the dentist and we found out she had cavities in one molar on each side of her mouth on the top. They were between teeth, so the dentist said that instead of waiting a couple of years for the other teeth to develop cavities he would just cap ALL her molars now to save having to put her through it twice. He said that when you find cavities between the teeth thatyou WILL find them between others. So we have to be in Joplin, MO at 6:30 am on Friday. That is about an hour or so away from here. He said the procedure will take about 30 minutes, but since they are putting her under anesthesia we will be there about 4 hours until she comes out of it and they check to make sure she is ok. I am SO not looking forward to this. Will isn't going with me, so I'm hoping my mom can get off work so she can go. If she can't my oldest daughter said she would go with me since she is still in town. I just know that I can't do it alone...........Pray for mine and Lacie's strength through this and pray for courage for Lacie. She doesn't even like the doctors running the thermometer across her forehead to take her temperature! I can just imagine how bad this whole surgery thing is going to work...I know, it's not really surgery, but she will have to deal with seeing the docs in their masks, going under and coming out of anesthesia, and being only 3 and not understanding what is going on. I worry for her and I worry for me, too. Just remember us in your prayers these next few days, please.

That doesn't sound right to me. I would get a second opinion before I would let any dentist do that to a three year old. Caps????? I got my first cap at 45 years old.
