I admit I don't know the details of the Bail Out Plan well enough to have made a decision if whether or not I am for it. I do wonder why we are paying for the bad debits as tax payers. Why can't the banks that are effected change the policies. They are unwilling to work with people to help them save their homes.
We know a few people that this has happened to. They had an ARM loan and were not able to refinance when it was up. They could pay a mortgage payment but not when it doubled. Why couldn't the bank refinance and not take the homes.
Here in Michigan foreclosures are the highest in the nation. A lot of the home could be saved if they banks would rework the loans. They would eventually get there money from the home owners. So with a bail out we have to pay for our home as well as someone elses because we did it a proper way to start and got a home hopefully we will always be able to afford. That just does not seem fair.

I wonder the SAME thing!! Why are banks just foreclosing without trying to help homeowners first? And why, when asked that question, are they not answering?! When they see huge companies like Fanny Mae closing, don't the banks see that as bright red warning sign that they should work with their customers or they could end up in the same trouble?! It's so frustrating. Don't you wish we could just nail one of those people to the floor and ask them questions till they answer?! LOL!!
