My "NEW" Deal for America

After listening to many news reports, interviews, and much "Bloviating" on the economy and who is to blame.

I decided that I would put my "Spin" on it. I am a 46 year old widow. I am a breast cancer survivor and my husband died of cancer three years ago. Due to the COBRA Rules 3 years after he died my insurance benefits ran out. Can I get more??? Noooo because it hasn't been 10 years since I had cancer. I am a high risk. Oh I could get insurance if I wanted to pay $1000 a month premiums. So who pays for my lymphedema medical supplies ??? I do. ALL out of pocket. Do I get SS because my husband died? No because I am not old enough. I have no children living at home under the age of 16 so I am disqualified. (Another thing we can thank Washington for) Can I get a job? Well maybe but most employers don't want to hire someone who has a defective arm and a very bad back. And those who will hire me, don't pay enough to bother. So if I want to have my 6th month check up for cancer I have to pay for it. If I want to have the blood work done for cancer,, I pay for it. If I happen to get cancer again ...... I DIE because I have no insurance. Just like a lot of other Americans.

But enough about me.

First just who is to blame... EVERYONE!!! From those who didn't live within their means to those who handed out mortgages to people like candy knowing full well they couldn't afford them. To the idiots in Washington who attach pork to everything coming down the pike.

Much can be said about this "Bail Out" bill and none of it is good.

We have had it shoved down our throats that we HAVE to have this.. well I for one have lost at least $50,000. yes THOUSAND dollars in one year. Those stocks are my life savings from my husbands insurance money. I trusted that by the time I was physically incapable of working that it would be there for me. Well now I am going to have to keep trying to find work. I heard on the news this morning that someone (god only knows who) attached a $500 thousand add on to this Billion Trillion dollar Bail out bill for Puerto Rico !!!!!!! Why the hell would we be sending their sorry butts money in a bill that is supposed to save OUR economy?? What has that country done for us except drain our resources and give us diarrhea when we go there on vacation?? OH and steal our jobs due to cheep labor.

So here are some new rules to live by... Congress take heart because the PEOPLE who write YOUR pay checks are getting fed up with you BIG TIME!

1. CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME - if there is anything left over we will be happy to give because that's what Americans do.

2. Bring back the WPA !!! Only this time make it for all those Illegal Aliens who want to come to this country.

You wanna live here fine ... you now work for the beautification program. The illegal's are now in charge of all lawn mowing across America, on public and private property, Road Repairs , and highway trash pick up. They can keep an eye on the prisoners while they also pick up trash. It will give them incentive to not break the law. You will also be forced to learn English because this is AMERICA and we don't speak Spanish here. If this makes you feel threatened then GO HOME!!!

3. If you are not in the Union (i.e.- Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands) you get NOTHING no welfare, no food stamps, no free health care, if you want these things then vote to become a state. Until then you are on your own. Why should you get all the "perks" for being an American citizen without having to pay taxes??? Oh and add Hawaii to that list too because while you are a state you still have a "King & Queen" and a royal family. Many Americans don't know but part of the deal to get Hawaii was that we support the "royal family" for several hundred years. I say GET A JOB! This is a democracy and we don't have royalty we left that back in England.

4. No more pork added on to ANY bill in the House or Senate!!! If you try this you will be "outed" We will install a very large LED scrolling sign in front of the US Capitol. Anyone who adds pork will have their name and state scrolling across the screen for 30 days. Everyone will know you are a "porker"

5. No more "Perks" for being in Congress. Everyone in America has to get to work from their homes. No one gives us gas money, or a car. You wanna take a limo or a car, pay for it yourself. Or be like the rest of America and take the bus or train. Worried about security?? Don't be such an ass in the Capitol and no one will want to shoot you. We are no longer going to pay for your apartments, your hookers, your booze or your vacations.

6. All Lobbyists have to wear a big L on their shirts while at work. Kind of like the Scarlet Letter, lets face it you are whoring yourselves out to a company you may as well be proud of it.

7. Wages - Now many of you will put up a fuss but lets face it, you work in a factory, pushing a button for 8 hrs a day. BIG DEAL you aren't curing cancer you aren't teaching children, you aren't saving lives like the police or fire department. You don't deserve $30.00 an hour! No one deserves that much money an hour. Including Sports figures. I say if you want play a sport fine you get $20.00 an hour the whole time you are playing. If you get arrested, hooked on drugs, rape someone ect...you void your contract. When, and only when you retire do you get that big bonus check. By then you should be over your "stupid" phase in life. US Car makers...no car is worth $30 K , $40 K or even $50 K. Who died and made you guys God ?? Drop the price on those things so more people can afford them, drop the wages and union demands and hey here's an idea.... TAKE A PAY CUT! You don't deserve $300,000. A year for sitting in an ivory tower. Everyone knows its the "little guy" who does all the work anyway.

8. Corporate Greed - No one begrudges anyone a living. You work hard you deserve a good wage. But for those sitting in their lofty offices on Wall Street thinking you have hit the jack pot.... Party is OVER. You get no more big bonuses, you get no more retirement / severance packages. You screw up the company you walk away with NOTHING. How's that for incentive to do a good job?? You screw up the economy you go to JAIL.

9. Service to your Country - I say we take a page from Israel. EVERY male and female upon graduating from high school will be required to serve no less than two years in the military. No matter what your family income, who's your daddy or any of that crap. So from the Kennedy's to low income America everyone serves. This will teach the youth of America that they have a back bone, they can be responsible adults, and they can learn the word NO which in this country is very quickly fading from a child's vocabulary. If you don't want to serve in the military then you have to go to the Peace Corps for two years. That way you can learn what hunger and poverty really is.

10. The War - While I hate war and everything that goes with it and know several who have lost a son.

Sometimes it is necessary.

However if the Gov. is going to start a war Congress and the Media ought to let them fight it. The media has no business over there getting in the way. If they want to be so "Involved" then let them carry the guns and walk point. Everyone knows this war and the last war were fought over Oil so those in Washington put on your big girl panties and admit it!!!! Do you think the American public is that stupid??? If we want to stop these wars then we need to become efficient on our own when it comes to fuel. Well back to the war. Lets face it folks those wacky sand people have been fighting since dirt was new they aren't going to stop now or EVER!!! All you have to do is read the Old Testament to figure that out. Oh and Washington if you want to have a war do it where you are actually helping someone like Darfur (or however you spell it) where they seem to murder at will and those poor people are begging us to save them. Why don't we help them?? I'll tell ya its because they don't have anything we want!!! Like .... OIL !!!!!!! And while I am on this topic. WHY is Iraq sitting on several BILLION dollars of profit from Oil and NOT giving us one red cent for this war. You wanna keep your democracy??? The least you can do is start coughing up the gas for all our trucks , planes and other equipment!! Oh and I think paying half the total bill is ok too. Say on a monthly basis. That way if they miss a month we just LEAVE!

If we took a page from General Pershing on this whole thing we would have won the war a long time ago. AND found Bin Laden.

AND we could have done it for the market price of a few thousand hogs. All you do is slaughter a bunch of pigs (sorry PETA) drain the blood and add a little heparin so it doesn't clot then load up the super soakers. Get our guys the really nice ones that shoot 50 feet. Then turn em loose. Start spraying those bastards with pig blood and once they figure out they won't be meeting Allah and the 40 virgins (as if you could find that many these days) they will be talking faster than your average auctioneer. Heck they will probably drive you to Bin Laden. You start digging a mass grave and tossing them in with the pig blood and the dead pigs like Pershing did and let me tell ya that will end it all NOW!!! It will also make hog farmers in America happy!

11. Terrorists and Illegal's - What I want to know is why ANYONE in America thinks these people have rights ??? Are they American Citizens? NO!!! If you aren't a citizen of this country and are trying to kill us you don't get RIGHTS! PERIOD If there is 100% proof that you were trying to kill us then off you go to the firing squad. If by chance you are a citizen then you are charged with treason and shot on the spot, you don't get to go to Rehab! Why should we have to pay for their retrials, food and upkeep any longer than we have to ?? Once those still standing see how its going to end for them they will all crawl back in their caves where they belong. To the lawyers and the ACLU members who think these people should be loved and appreciated I say GET OUT OF MY AMERICA !!!

12. Energy - I say we start with wind and solar since they are the cleanest. I personally like to see the windmills. Wind and sun are pretty much free and don't require a lot of money to get going. Heck every farm in America used to have a windmill. Force the big oil companies to build new refineries that run clean. BUT... tell the EPA to go climb a tree when it comes to all there rules, lets face it you all have become to big for your britches. We could always build the refineries on the east coast that way any pollution would just blow out to sea (with the help of those windmills!) While we are at it we can start a nation wide Biggest Looser contest you ride your bike to work every day (weather permitting) and loose say...20 lbs a year you get a tax deduction. Have each city put in safe bike trails so people don't have to worry about getting run over by a semi. Since we have all those Illegal's working for the WPA they can do all the work. This will drive down the cost of health care because we will no longer be a FAT nation having heart attacks and strokes.

FINALLY !!! Americans - It is about time all of you went back to night school and took that course in Civics over again.

First - The President of the United States is not in charge of your happiness. He isn't in charge of your streets, your wages, your health insurance, your schools, the price of gas, the price of bread. If you want CHANGE in America it has to start from the bottom UP not the top down. This Govt was created with checks and balances. Most of which are no longer even considered. So if you want to Fix things here or CHANGE things here Obama isn't going to do it, McCane isn't going to do it Biden isn't going to do it, Sarah America isn't going to do it. Well maybe she could because the way I look at it, this country has been run by MEN for over 200 years. All they have managed to do is go to war and bankrupt the country. I figure a woman who has given birth FIVE times (I'm betting no drugs were used either) ran a house and managed to run a state and cook dinner every night is a force to be reckoned with.

You aren't going to pull crap on her and get away with it. Just ask her kids. You want CHANGE ??? Then get off your lazy ass and VOTE. There is an election TWICE that's 2 times a year people (I ought to know I am a poll worker) it is that way EVERY year not every FOUR years as some of you think. It isn't going to get you on jury duty but if it does so what....that is part of being a responsible citizen. You have to take the good with the crap.

People died for your right to vote, they died by the thousands. There are currently brave soldiers who stand on a wall every night so you can sleep in peace. They too are willing to die for your right to vote. Not voting in EVERY election is like spitting in the face of all those heroes.

Either way we need to elect local and city and state officials who don't have an agenda or an ax to grind and who are there FOR the people and come with high moral standards. They shouldn't get more than $20.00 a hour either, and they shouldn't get any perks. Then we will see how many are doing it because they care or because they are lazy and figure its an easy way to draw a pay check and screw the city / state at the same time. I think ALL city employees should be held accountable for getting jobs done within a reasonable amount of time and if you don't then you get docked a weeks pay. Oh and no one gets gas money to go to work. I don't, most of America doesn't so why should you.

To those in Washington, Do your job , do it right or GET OUT. If you aren't part of the solution you are the PROBLEM. The people of America are sick and tired of getting slackers in the Government who have no fiscal responsibility and don't care who they screw as long as they get the pay check and status. The days of being in office for most of your life are over. You get 2 years tops. If you can't get bills passed in Washington by then your out. No more Teddy Kennedy's and Marcy Kapture's , Robert Byrds, ect... the gravy train has left the building. At the beginning of each year there will be a job syllabus passed out to you. You don't finish that by the end of the year you are docked six months pay. You are also no longer allowed to vote "Present" when a bill is brought before you. If you can't put your money where your mouth is then hit the road. Also every December your voting record will be published in your constituents news papers. It will also be posted in the paper and everywhere else the week before Election Day.

You want the perk of saying you are a US Senator or Congressmen by god you will have to work for it now.

As my grandpa liked to say " Shit or get off the Pot" that goes for those in Washington and the citizens of this country. If you don't like America you are free to leave.
