I know, Acid. I almost cried when I read this. I have not done enough to show that I stand with them... but I sincerely want to change that. I don't even know where to start.
Isn't it hard to believe that despite all the civil rights battles that have been fought, so much discrimination still exists against this one particular group? In 2004, MI (my home state) voted against legalizing gay marriage. By a landslide. It sickened and disgusted me that so many of my neighboors still had so much intolerance in their hearts.
I just don't understand why so many people think some one else's relationship affects their own.
I agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who cares about anything other than LOVE? LOVE is what's important and seems to be lacking in our world. If we all just focused on LOVE instead of the physicality of the person doing the loving, our world wouldn't be nearly so divided.
WELL SAID!!!!
I stand along with you!!! This was very beautifully written and I would like to share it if you allow me to. I also voted it popular. I almost cried........ this is just great great truth. Well done!! *huggz*
