So the auctioneer came over this morning to figure out what furniture mom was selling. the home company called to see if they could set her home up and she said yes, that for her was a huge step in the right direction as before she was fussing about whether or not she could sell her house for enough. WE have gotten garage and attic cleaned out now down to the actual house being cleaned out. the auction is now set for October 25 @ 10am. Thankfully she has begun finally going through things and sorting them out for keep or sell. We are having ah uge yard sale the week before the auction to get rid of a bunch of stuff that more then likely won't go but by the box full at the auction. If everything goes according to plan she will be here the week of Thanksgiving. thankfully we can move stuff in from there to here, so not a lot of packing and unpaking to be done. However please keep her adn this auction in your prayers. I know God can give her above anything she imagined but she is older adn worries more and does not want to have to tap into the savings account to finish paying for the home if she does not have to.

I will be praying! What a big amount of work this month!
My MIL had an auction and just as a little piece of advice for you - make sure your have a very detailed contract with your auctioneer. Detail everything from starting bid prices to what happens to items that don't sell, find out how much they will be spending and where to advertise your auction, if it is an outdoor auction, have a rain date pre-set...etc.
My MIL had a huge estate sale and ended up with nothing. The auction made $600 but the auctioneer kept it and tried to make my MIL pay another $400 to cover his "advertising" costs. It rained that day and only 4 people showed up, but there was no rain contingency, and everything that didn't sell, he took, including items that weren't on her list to sell!
