My grandmother use to tell us that Oct 15 was when you put on your fall/winter attire. Items such as t-shirts and thermal underwear were pulled out of the drawer. And to this day...I still pull out my tshirts and my tights to wear under my clothes. I raised my children like this too, and they are doing the same with their children. And we don't have many colds. My last cold was 2/9/05 and I am proud of that because I use daily measures of prevention to keep from getting sick. I wear turtlenecks...I have all colors...they do not bother me like some women say they can't wear them. I put cough drops in my tea everyday, and if I feel a little itch in my throat, I take a small sip of Nyquil just to coat the throat. And that has sustained me all these years. I eat good soups too.
