I told myself from the moment it started to roll that I wouldn't be "one of those." I wouldn't stress and enjoy every minute of it. My reasoning has fallen on deaf ears. Alas, I have become "one of those."

A STRESSED OUT BRIDE!

I have so much to do.....

I can't find the right size floating candles

I have to pick up my dress this Saturday (after two cancellations, one on there part the other on mine)

I have bows to make, candy to get together

Music selection to run through the music coordinator

Listen to a pianist for a last minute change on the music before the ceremony

More candles to buy for the rehearsal dinner

Order tableclothes and runners for the reception tables

Candle holders need to be bought or borrowed for the ceremony lighting

Last minute appointments for hair coloring, teeth cleaning

I need to order my veil

Make sure my mother finds a dress

Hassle one groomsman who hasn't been fitted yet (I know life gets in the way)

Get with our photographer to talk about poses/photo shots

Finish bridesmaid gifts/groomsman gifts/parents gifts

Finish paying for the rental items

Book the wedding night room

Finish the pre-marital counseling (which I am enjoying anyway)

Not to mention the last minute details of getting a mani/pedi, take care of myself for smooth glowing skin, ordering the marriage licensce, double/triple checking the honeymoon details....

I could add on....but why stress myself out even more?

*sigh*

I guess I could look at it this way....I have wonderful friends who have been such a HUGE support with helping, planning and just keeping both Brian and I sane. I have my dress, church, cakes, flowers, part of the centerpieces, candles for the ceremony and more already paid for. Brian has been a HUGE help, and I honestly think he has done more planning than I have.

40 days.....40 days.

Keep perspective.  It's you and Bian, at the mall, in a car, on the beach, whatever, you don't have to be perfect, not does every detail.  Who cares if your toes are shiner than usual?  It's a marriage - ordained by God - the wedding part is really secondary.  Be careful to keep things in the right perspective, maybe less is more.  =O)

Oh I know......I am "trying" to keep it in the right perspective. Thanks for the friendly reminder. I actually got a LOT done yesterday and feel 100% better. Yesterday just started on a rough patch at work, and it kind of escalated on down.

Thanks K.....you rock! You always know what to say to get my head out of the clouds.
