How Cool is This?

So, he says,

"It's just a 'geek' magazine."

I don't care!

My brother is on the cover of a magazine!

While in California with Dayna, we went to visit my brother and his family.

He doesn't think he's successful.

He never thinks what he does is 'good enough'.

He's wrong.

I'm so proud of him!

He has worked so hard his whole life to get where he is now. He has been with JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratories) in Pasadena for 18 years. His colleagues are the 'mucky-mucks' of NASA. He has worked on many things at JPL, few of which I understand.

Here's the first paragraph of the article about him in Test & Measurement World ~September 2005.

Pasadena, CA ~ Unmanned spacecrat such as Voyager, Galileo, Cassinis, and Spirit explore the unknown and expand human knowledge. The job of testing these spacecraft systems -- and the measurement instruments they carry -- fall to the Measurement Technology Center (MTC) staff at NASA's jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). Headed by manager Phil Yates, a group of 13 engineers and one technician build interfaces for equipment chassis, write test software, develop control systems, and creat data-acquisition systems.

 

I don't know about you, but this is just too cool.

And it only took 3 years for him to share this with me. The magazine is dated September 2005.

That is SOOO AWESOME!!! You have every right to be VERY proud of your brothers accomplishments (even if it did take him 3 yrs to share that news!) :)

Bravo to your brother!  You should be proud of him.  And I know that magazine - I'm not a geek!!!  LOL  I used to work in an automotive supplier test lab, and all of us got that magazine.

that's awesome! Cograts to your bro-lol it took him three years to tell you? He seems like a modest kinda guy hehe. Either way, it's pretty cool. I was in a mag once and I was all excited even if only my circle of friends had any idea what mag it was!

SEE this is why I don't have siblings!! THREE YEARS? ARGH LOL That is so cool that he is so well versed in his field they feel the need to publish HIM :-) MEN don't get that in general ... lol
