Reasons I like my neighborhood

1. When we first moved in, our neighbors invited us to their family barbeque.

2. People smile and wave while driving by in their cars.

3. While driving at dusk the other day, someone driving in the other direction slowed down, flashed their lights, and put their blinker on to alert me that a family of ducks was about to cross the road.

4. It sounds like a nature CD of a meadow with all the birds chirping.

5. There are a lot of kids, but its never too noisy.

6. My neighbors are always willing to buy something to help support my kids' school.

7. My neighbors actually enjoy my husband's loud classic rock music.

8. We don't have a canal in our back yard.

9. My lawn gets mowed several times a month, and my house gets pressure cleaned and painted every few years for a less than $50 per month maintainence fee.

10. My kids can play outside and go to their friends' houses safely.
