I swear I develop amnesia as soon as I give birth to each child because every time I become pregnant it feels like I'm starting all over again from scratch. I don't remember anything. Now that I'm 32 weeks along I am starting to have a lot of Braxton-Hicks contractions, which I remember from my first two pregnancies, however these contractions are more consistent and lower and sometimes I even feel cramping and pulling, which I don't remember experiencing before in the first two pregnancies.
Keep in mind this is my third pregnancy in five years so you'd think I'd have this all figured out. And I can't just meander on over to my local OB because he's three hours away. With the first two kids I did make an emergency run with each because I thought I was in labor (in the eighth months) but I don't want to do that again. I told my DH that unless my water broke I was not going to the hospital and I'm certainly not going to our local hospital. So I guess I'll just spend my days in fear of going into preterm labor and facing an hour drive down a long dirt road an another 2 1/2 hours drive to doctor.
Maybe I'm just paranoid. I think I'll go with that.

After 20 years of marriage, still sleeping in a full-sized bed.

well I have no advice to give. I went into labor at 29 weeks but it was all in my back, I don't know what front contractions feel like. The oh so helpful nurses said no your not in labor we aren't picking up any contractions on our monitor. 3 am I go back in full blown labor and have a 3 pound baby and guess what they still aren't picking up my contractions. Sorry I'm still bitter. I hope you get to feeling better.
