The reality is, people do not take marriage seriously anymore. Not everyone, so don't start bashing me, but ALOT of people.

This is my stance on the basic crap people deal with in a marriage or just a relationship in general.

If you cheat or have been cheated on, it's over. Plain and simple.  And if you stay together, it won't work. Why do people think it will get better when they have broken the sacred vows of trust, honor and respect? How can anyone trust someone else every again so long as they live. My ex-husband cheated on me and I can tell every single one of you that read this that not only did I never trust him again, but it took alot and a long period of time before I trusted my husband now. He didn't do anything wrong in our relationship but it doesn't change the fact that I had been betrayed by someone and was ready to battle over the precariousness of my heart. I just can't see how anyone could look at that person again after knowing they had been with another person. How can you make love to your husband when you know he has done this same thing with someone else after you took your vows.

Ok so that was more of a rant then I intended. Onward. Why do people lie to their spouse? Why do they feel the need to keep anything from each other? How is that healthy? Why do people fight so badly that they resort to name calling or violence? If my husband called me names it would show a lack of respect. I treat people as respectfully as possible and I expect that same treatment in return........and more so from my husband then from anyone else I deal with on a daily basis. And physical violence!  Why do people feel that they can put their hands on another person. Where is the logic and common sense in this! Did our parents not teach us as children to keep our hands to ourselves and that hitting was wrong? Where did that get lost in translation!

I'm lucky to have a wonderful husband and marriage and I just wish and hope that everyone out there either does also or is willing to actually work to have something that is CHERISHED AND APPRECIATED. I hope i'm wrong about what seems to be going on all around us these days. If not, God Bless those that need it the most. The lost.
