The people that live downstairs from me are nice people, but they smoke alot. The smell comes up into my apartment. I bought an air purifier and planning to buy another one this weekend.
My question is... Do you think the chemicals from the cigarettes come up with the smell, or just the smell? I hate to think about my kids breathing that crap.

sorry to say im a smoker and know that u guys are getting the 2nd hand smoke. and its hard when its neighbors u cant tell them to smoke outside its there house i would call a doc office with a question what can you do?? maybe they will have an idea to help you. good luck hun xo
are you renting? if you are is it a no smoking building? or a clause in the lease? if it is maybe bring it up with your landlord.
I have the same problem!! It's disgusting when you leave your windows open and can smell the neighbors cigarettes!!
Thank you for your comments, advice and good luck wishes. I appreciate them. I'm the landlord and knew they smoked from their application. I just didn't realize the smoke would come up through the floor. There is no clause in the lease about smoking.
