Life is a Merry-Go-Round and I want to get off!

No, I'm not talking ending my life here, so don't get worried. I'm truly speaking metaphorically, and I just mean that my life has become such merry-go-round lately! I get up, shower, get dressed, get the kids, dh, and myself off to school and work, work my ass off all day in what just seems like a whirlwind of a day, stay at work late trying (but never quite succeeding) to catch up, come home, make dinner, clean up, do laundry, bath-time, stories, bed for kids, grade papers and plan lessons, go to bed, and get up four hours later to do it all over again!!! My life repeats itself on a daily basis, over and over and over again, and I want to get off! I'm just sick of the merry-go-round, you know?!? I want to ride the Tilt-a-Whirl once in awhile, or The Zipper, or the Bumper Cars, or the Fun House. Just something different, because otherwise I feel like I'm just going to vomit, lose my mind, and fall off the edge...

i totally hear you.
i mean, i don't work right now, but even still, it's the SAMMMMME thing EVERRRRRY day...
get up, give breakfast, get us dressed, pack up, head out, pick up from school, come home, clean up, dinner, homework, wash up, get pjs, get in bed, laundry, shower, hair...blah blah blah...it's NUTS. it's so bad that sometimes i forget what day it is 'cause they're all a big blur. lol.

ugh...if you figure out how to get off this ride and onto a different one couldya let me know please? :)

girlfriend ... i hear you!  i call it the treadmill, tho - i kinda like merry-go-rounds ;-).  i'm reading this amazing book about "Sabbath" and how in this day & age we are missing so much the benefits of one day in which we stop - we are committing acts of violence to our bodies by running ourselves into the ground .... cool stuff.  i'll finish reading it and then post a journal about it.  hang in there!  and - i'm preaching to myself here right now like you have no idea - CREATE those moments to recharge yourself.  seriously.  it took an appendectomy to start finding ways to stop periodically.
