My husband is now teasing me that we are on the "vitamin of the month" club.  LOL  Being in my mid-40's and he in his mid-50's (2nd marriage for both of us), we are getting more concerned about our health.  We've both been very aware of taking vitamins and exercising, for most of our lives, however, lately we are both experiencing the "aches, pains, and bulges" of being "mid-life".

I've taken two lines of products for many, many years, and WHY I had to change....well, I wish I can answer that!  LOL.  I guess being in networking marketing & direct sales, and hearing about all the "latest & greatest's", especially all the "easy to swallow, highly absorbable" juice drinks....well, I caught the Health & Wellness Fever pretty bad.  LOL  The Antidote?  Try a different product line's offering for a 2-4 wk period and see if we can "feel" the difference.  Mind you, some products may take longer than our test period, but since we're already nutritional fanatics, you would think we'd feel that extra "spring" in our step in a 2-4 wk period!

Some of the products, in my honest opinion, really do not meet up to expectations.  Though they mean well, so many are just out there riding the wave of this Trillion Dollar Industry, hoping to pick up enough surfers.  What makes one company's product cost $50,60,70+ per month, where another, also well-tested & documented product costs $20,30,40+ per month?  And then, we all have to be on "auto-ship"....we're buying the products anyway, right?  So this should be no problem...... I don't know about you, but I'm not a fan of "auto-ship".  I know when I'm running low on my supplements, that I have to buy more.  But wait!  I can get a 10-20% discount, and/or free shipping, if I go on auto-ship!  ?

So, alas I'm starting to sound cynical, even to myself, LOL.  We're currently thru most of the vitamins in the current health & wellness company I joined, only to say, though the products have been updated & majorally improved re: absorption, etc., both my husband and I have been more tired and achy than ever!  I thought it was just me, but at dinner last night he just blurted out, "These new vitamins don't seem to be working.  I feel so tired, achy, and just bad.  What's the next 'vitamin of the month'?" - followed by his chuckle.  Viola!  I just rec'd samples (free of charge) of the lastest nutritional juice drink!   We can DRINK our vitamins!  He's skeptical.... Last night we started a new 2 wk test.,,  I'll keep you posted.

Per our conversation (great dinner topic! - dinner out without the kids and we're talking about vitamins, LOL), we may very well go back to the tried & true vitamins we were using for quite some time, and just call ourselves "beached".  We're tired of surfing the waves......!

Be healthy - exercise, find a supplement program that works for YOU, and eat right!  Makes a world of difference in all aspects of your life!  To your health!

I've considered that.  I think I personally went thru a "detox" a few days into the new regimen because I had splitting headaches for around 3 days in a row.  We're not new to taking good supplements (not talking about OTC's like Centrum, Once-A-Day, etc) so our detox would be minimal.  We felt pretty good, and then started feeling awful....

Thanks Gab!  Good point!
