post-op appt 10/9/08

well, we went to Birmingham today for the girls post-op appt. It went well. We met with the speech pathologist and she thinks the girls are doing good. The plastic surgeon said their palates look good. Braley does have a small hole in her palate(about the size of a pen tip) but it should heal on it own. He will keep an eye on it for the next while. We go back in 3 months(the day after we get home from NY). We are done with surgeries until the girls are about 4 yrs old. That is when he will touch up thier noses and make them symmetrical. After that they will see the oral surgeon, who will then take x rays and see where their teeth are placed and where they will come in and plan thier surgeries according to that. I am glad we finally get a break from all the hustle. I am finally going to get to enjoy my babies and not worry about them hurting and having to have surgery after surgery. I cant believe they will be 1 on Sunday Oct.12!!!! Time flies with these two beautiful baby girls.

I am so happy everything is going well. Lily has a fistula as well. She actually has 3 small holes I think. Its so nice to be able to enjoy them without having to wory about surgeries and what not. Good luck with everything!!
