I have never really posted about my DD Sadie, so here is her story. Sadie Christine was born on Nov 7, 2006, even though she wasn't due until Dec 18th, 2006. Sadie spent 20 days in the nicu. When she was born She weighed in at a mighty 3lb 6oz. 16in long. She was the littlest baby I had ever seen. She never had any problems in the hospital. Came home without any machines or anything. After she was home for a while we noticed she had a red spot coming up on her arm, so we took her to the dr. We found out it was a hemangioma. I had seen them before but never really knew what it was until then. They haven't done anything to it but look at it and it is starting to go away. She will be 2 and hasn't really ever been sick, besides the normal kids colds and sinus infections. I love her to pieces and wouldn't change anything about her. Everybody that reads this needs to go and love on your kids and tell them how much you love them bc you never know what could happen. Alot of the time Sadie gets on my nerves and no matter how mad she makes me at night me and her daddy ALWAYS tell her how much we love her and always will. I know i'm rambling so I'm going to go.

I have twins who were born 8 weeks early. They were about the same size as your baby girl. We were also lucky enough to not have any major health problems, although they have since developed asthma. However, their development has never been normal, they may never be "normal" but you know that's O.K. they are my beautiful angels. They are almost 11 and are alot like 6 or 7 year olds. Somedays are really tough and I worry what their life will be like, but I wouldn't trade them or their big sister for anything. You are so right, I think about so many other mommies who have lost children or have children with serious medical issues and I am so thankful for mine.
Give your little angel a hug, I am sure she is beautiful.
