A little about me...

I finally got to join Cafemom!  I've been hearing about it but never had the time to join...so here I am!  I'm a mom to three great kids and three great dogs!!  I live in AZ, but I'm originally from NJ.  We came out to AZ because my daughter was attending UofA, so we followed her out...now she's applying to law school, guess where???  Back East!!!  Needless to say, we are NOT following her back!!! LOL!!

Some of my interests include reading mystery novels.  Probably my biggest passion is cooking and baking.  I love to travel (we went on a cruise this year to celebrate my 50th b-day and my daughter's graduation), and I love to go out dining and dancing!

Wow, Lawschool.  That is Great!  I love cooking and baking too, but have to be in the mood to really enjoy it, Love trying new recipes, canning, freezing, etc.  Can't wait to have a nice garden, fruit trees, and nut trees.  I love the picking part too.  That is my dream, to be able to find and buy just the right place and have a mini farm too.

Hi camaquay,

Hello , when I turned fifty i was a single/ divorced mom and my son was 8 years old. Obviously , when I was 42 I discovered that I had started a new life . Tonight after bedtime routine I was excited that I could do whatever I wanted for the rest of the evening.Thanks to a friend my Ipod  has 9,800 songs on it and I am trying to listen to them all.      I  was listening to one of 356 Eric Clapton songs on my bose headphones, escapng, when instead of readying my home for relatives coming from the east coast , or cleaning, or going to bed, I decided to hop onto cafemom. I realized that my site is unfinished, so I was trying to edit a widget when I spotted Moms near me. So I put in my zip code and hear you are, in fountain Hills For about two years I wanted to put my son in a better school system ( we lived in the  Az  hick outback) and my 9 year old(then) son's father lives here with his new family. My partents live nearby so my plan was to take care of my 87 year old father. I found a kid friendly house  an the end of a cul de sac, and I now refer to the area as the hood. The good thing is that I have washes behind my house an I am near the parks and schools.
