Ideas on MP3 players, please...

I have a 13 year old daughter and thinking about getting her an mp3 player for xmas.  I am rather electronically challenged so need advice.  I have heard ipods are over rated.  Do you believe that to be true?  I was thinking of a Zune.  Something to hold 'a lot' of tunes.  We don't have a whole lot of cd's so I have been looking at downloading on line from sites.  Do any of you do this?  itunes are $1 a piece, but I found a site called easymusicdownloads that I can buy a subscription for $30 for 2 years, no limit and has 13 million songs.  Any suggestions?  Need all the help I can get!

I'm not that great at this stuff either but what has helped me is checking out the websites (Best Buy, Amazon, Circuit City, etc;) they have reviews and comparisons which always work for me! Good luck.

My son has an Ipod touch and it's great!!  My husband and I have it more then he does!!  I have never used anything else other than IPods so I am not much help!!  I would just suggest doing some research!!  Good luck!!
