Today, I'm worried. I guess I've been listening to the news too much. It's all gloom and doom about our financial crisis. Meanwhile, my husband has a job in finance, and my very best friend in the world, a fellow CafeMom, just lost her job (and she's 8 months pregnant!).

I don't like to just sit around. I want to help. I'm not sure what I can do, though. What are you all doing to feel better about this mess?

Tonight, I'm just going to go home and spend time with my wonderful, happy, healthy family. I'm going to feel thankful. And I'm going to give my DH a squeeze because it's his birthday.

My husband is general manager/finance manager of a car business...It is awful right now....He comes home everyday worried that he will loose his job because of the market....I too am thankful for the job that my husband still has and that we are able to live in this world the way it is without having to struggle too much....It is a scary place to live right now...

As a flying solo mom it can e quite alarming.  I am part time employed   in ministry and people are not giving.

I have a home business that is in the health wellness and prevention field.  For some reason...we seem to be recession proof.  Over the past 20 plus years we have had a steady climb. I think it is because of the business structure being the way it is.  It attracts people who want to step out and away from the crisis and have some impact on their financial wellness.  It is a good good feeling to know...we can help people in a very real and tangible way.  People care about their health, and their financial situation so I suppose I am very fortunate.

I just tell people ...  things will be alright and to have something different we must DO something different.  Times like these are really tea bag kinda times.  We see what we are made of buy being IN hot water.

If you friend would care to learn more about what I do PLEASE pass along my info.  I am a suddenly flying solo mom and learned about my business oddly enough in my 8th month and it has proven to be my bread and butter.

I wish you and all you know and care about total WELLNESS!

I take a bottle of Peace & Calming and a bottle of Joy and do aromatherapy.... I think positive about everything and know that there are times here i am going to have to cut back and times when I can sperdge... I help where I can and I make a lot from scratch, *(bread,  soup stock, tomato sauce, pudding, grow my own veggies and herbs....) that helps a lot.

I know what you mean. So many people out of work or one paycheck away from no electricity, no food, no home. I heard on the news today that this is the beginning of the recession that will get much worse for longer than we are used to. I too want to help where I can. I started a blog to try to help others get information or just have a place to share what they know with others.

Hi I'm on a mission - my husband is not working either - I have a group here called "The Power of 6"  please check it out - it is a way for us friends to unite and earn money.  We are Friends Helping Friends and looking for others who want to join forces and spread the word.

If you know anyone out of work - please pass our information on - we want to help others.
