How could I pick just one? First it would be between two Italians...because I love, love, love authentic Italian food! Don't know if I would pick Mario Batali or Giada DeLaruentis. I'm leaning more towards Mario, but I love how Giada always considers dessert on her shows, something Mario doesn't include much on his. I have an incurable sweet tooth!
But then there's the Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten, she makes such fresh and vibrant looking food! And what about Tyler Florence? He and I have very similar taste in foods, maybe it's cause we're both March-born. His show, Tyler's Ultimate has some of the most "I want that right now!!" looking foods I've ever seen. In an article I read, he said if he had to pick one food for his last meal he would pick guacamole....and honestly I think that's what I would pick. I could make a meal on some good guacamole, and frequently, I do with some chips and tomato (sometimes some refried beans with cheese along with it).
I ate at Paula Deen's restaurant, The Lady And Sons in Savannah a couple of years ago. We went a couple of weeks before Christmas. Jason was booked for a magic show for a corporate Christmas party and we all went as a sort of get a way. The trip was full of great food. Everywhere we ate in Savannah was excellent. We went to The Lady And Sons on Sunday right before leaving for home and had the Sunday lunch buffet. The line wrapped all the way around the block. We got there early so we could get in at lunch opening. We walked since our hotel was a couple of blocks away and parking would have been nearly as far. We were carrying Katie in her carrier (she was about 5 months at the time and Olivia was 3). It had been overcast and/or raining most of the weekend. It started to drizzle and the kind hostesses handling the waiting list let us come inside and sit down since we had Katie and Olivia. They were very hospitable! The buffet was anything but typical. They bring hoe cakes with maple syrup as an appetizer and they are great! I had fried chicken and all the trimmings and those famous cheese biscuits! You can choose from several desserts, I had apple cobbler. Everything tasted like family was in the kitchen.
So who do I pick? I am a foodie! This is a cruel choice.

Uh............YEAH! Cruel choice indeed. I too am a foodie. Gosh I'd love Giada to come being from an Italian family. I'd also love Paula and her whole family to come.Bobby Flay too. There are just too many for me to narrow it down!
