I'm fed up. I'm not angry, just fed up at humanity in this country. After reading about McCain's supporters becoming angry and full of rage in general that McCain needs to do more to ensure a win, along with their hate comments, I'm disgusted.
Where does the hate and rage lead our country? To disaster. To lose friends because we disagree so passionately about politics, that we divide and isolate ourselves. To lose FAMILY because we don't agree on political opinions. Did we all forget that politics is not to be discussed with loved ones because they only bring out the evil in us? Are we allowing ourselves to become so consumed with hate and rage that we're willing to sacrafice our relationships? Because that's where this country is going, and we're destroying ourselves at the same time, and our country.
You all think we're a divided country now? Wait a couple weeks. Wait until after the elections. Just thinking about this makes me ill. Where has the ability to overlook fear and hatred in order to save ourselves gone? Because each and every one of us are part of the problem. This country is going down, unless EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US recognizes that we need to GET ALONG, we need to UNITE, OR ELSE.
This is just what the gov't wants, by the way. They want us to fight, to divide even further, because it distracts us from the activities of the gov't. Their actions and practices are going on because all we're focused on is fighting with one another. That's doing us no good as citizens and watchdogs of the practices of our gov't. We need to wake up.
So please. I don't care what you think about either candidate. I don't care about who did what and I don't care anymore about dissecting this election. Because deep down, and we all know this, it's killing us. Focus on keeping your friends. Focus on love, not hate. We may have Hell coming election day, but just remember, we are the cause of it, if it happens.
And, if you can, try imagining yourself in a different country right now. Other countries around the world are looking at us Americans and they're probably thinking that we're all losing our marbles. Let's show them that we're NOT.

I'm glad you posted this. This year the election seems to be absolutely brutal. I don't know if I just missed it because I was so busy/ brain dead during the last two elections or if it really is much worse then previous elections. I don't talk politics with anyone any more (except on here with people who are like minded). It's too painful.
I agree with you. It's been awful in the journals lately. I never seen such disrespect for one another and true there's lots of hate coming out. I hope that people read this and break away from the cycle of spreading more hatred. I walk away when I get angry and there are certainly a handful of women I see posting that should also walk away, In fact try taking your kids for a walk..... get away from posts where the disagreements never end....
Life goes on and Peace can happen, it's up to all of us!
Brava. A friend of mine said he's seen every election since 1975 and this, by far, has been the worst with all the hatred and mudslinging....
we're definitely witnessing something here- In my lifetime there has never been an election that mattered this much to so many people. I suppose if nothing else, we're passionate.
Let's love one another!

Very true, Jeanie. Why do we all have to have SOMETHING to fight about, whether it's politics, sex, race, religion... It divides us and makes us weaker in the face of true adversity.
